Quick Photoshoot Face

I had about 20 minutes to get ready for this photoshoot after dropping Teddy to daycare the other day…thought I’d detail what I used/did down below.

PREP

Lonvitalite Crystal Collagen eye masks- great for hydration, a bit of dark circle minimisation and a bit of a plump.

Radical Skincare Age-defying exfoliating pads- skincare prep is key to ensure makeup goes on smoothly, looks amazing and lasts.

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentrate- only the best moisturiser used by every makeup artist ever; this one is a bit more heavy duty when your skin needs all the help it can get, theres’s also a slighter lighter more matte finish moisturiser (yes I’ve got that one as well).

Mecca Illuminating Primer- primer keeps your application smooth and long lasting, illuminating because who doesn’t want to glow?!

Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer- like Spakfilla….how flattering but it’s true, blurs the pores and fine lines to create a smooth even complexion.

Next step EYES

Mac Indianwood Prolongwear Paintpot- not the most resistant base as its got quite a bit of shimmer so it does tend to crease if you have oilier eyelids but it’s a stunning colour.

Kylie x Jordan eyeshadow palette- in shades ‘wife life’ and ‘peru’ in the crease and on the lower lash line, ‘sister’ to deepen the outer corner and used softly along the top lash line and finally a mixture of ‘loyal’ and ‘ride or die’ all over the lid. Say what you will about Kylie Jenner, I’m obsessed with her eyeshadows- pigmentation and colour payoff is amazing, she’s got some amazing colours, they’re not too expensive and they last all day. I used all warm tones to really make my blue eyes POP!

Poni Cosmetics White Knight Mascara-a tubing mascara that has enough volume for my liking, no smudging, lasts well all day and doesn't flake- win!

BROWS

Poni Cosmetics Brow Magic to fill in any sparse areas and Brow Pop to highlight and define the perimeter…I don’t usually go for the brow pop step as I’m more about the natural brow but just a tiny bit goes a long way to finishing the whole look.

BASE

Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Deauville, creates a stunning natural yet flawless finish to the skin. Not too cake-face in real life but still more than enough for professional photos.

Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer in Light and Medium- I recently got these in mini travel sizes to give them a go and have really liked them! They do what they say in the name and cover quite well, I powder all concealer to lock it in so haven’t seen how much they’d crease or disappear if left unset.

Hourglass Diffused Light Ambient Lighting Powder to set under eyes and all over the face for a locked-down base but still keeping a beautiful glow.

CHEEKS

Hourglass Radient Light Ambient Lighting powder to bronze coz I’m pale enough that it works.

MAC Blunt blush to enhance the contour a little.

MAC Peachkeen and Margin blush to add some colour and glow

Mecca Enlightened Powder, the original highlight shade (would love to try the 2 new additions)

SET

MAC Fix +….the OG, the best. Sets, diffuses the powdery look and gives you a beautiful glow and finish to your look.
