Tint vs Henna
Brow Shaping at Finish Beauty includes tint with every appointment however you also have the option of booking Henna instead.
What’s the difference? What will be best for me? How long will they last?
Read below to see the difference between the two, we would always recommend booking for tint first to discuss the suitability of henna and to do a patch test.
Tint
Lightly stains the skin for 1-2 days.
Lasts around 3/4 weeks on the hair depending on depth of colour achieved.
Quick to process.
Customisable with warm and cool tones of varied depth.
Beautiful natural finish with undetectable results.
Also included in brow lamination services, henna is not suitable combined with this treatment.
Henna
Can stain the skin for 1 week (can be up to 2 weeks if colour is dark enough) fading from a stronger more filled in look to a soft powder finish.
Lasts 4-6 weeks on the hair.
Longer time to process.
Natural product except for developer accelerant.
Harder to achieve a cool toned brow.
Great for sparse, very blonde invisible brows and even white/grey hair as the colour molecule attaches in a different way to tint.
Not suitable combined with brow lamination as the two treatments are quite active and can damage the brow hair if combined together.
So there you have it, a basic overview of tint and henna.
